Today was a routine day in the department of Surgery 4. The day started off with a teaching session, where we had a Quiz organized by the surgical ICU. Nice quiz because it was well made and we also had a hospital in Manali participate over a telelink.
The deparment was really nice to me and let me off yesterday, after my radiation. It was actually a rest I appreciated. The combination of no sleep and an antihistamine, I'd taken for an allergy knocked me out cold for the night!
It's great to be back to work. I'm happy that I've been pulled into this arrangement. It's easy to feel sorry for oneself and tell yourself that you can't work because you are on treatment - but I think the line is a fine one. I'm with a great team and am sure that I'll walk that line well!
The picture above is of the door to my conformal radiation therapy room. This link shows you what the machine looks like.

You really do have a super work environment Tarun. The way everything moves into place for you - a great Planner there for you, right?

Our God gave us these 3 verses (Isa.30:19-21) during our difficult days and these really helped us.
vs.19 "O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you."
He answered us and wiped our tears off. He strengthened us and removed the worries from our heart.
vs.20. "Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them."
He gave us both, but our Teacher was not hiding. He revealed Himself to our daughter. She said "His face was so bright - it was like 100s of tube lights.."
vs.21. "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." "
Yes, He is still guiding us.
Tarun, you are doing wonderfully well!
